ABII Board of Trustees Elects Officers
(January 2, 2013) — The American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) Board of Trustees at its recent annual meeting elected officers to serve from January 1 through December 31, 2014.
Michael DelVecchio, B.S., R.T.(R)(ARRT), FASRT, assumes the position of vice chair. He is technical director of radiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Named Secretary/Treasurer is Nancy A. Foster, MSHA, R.T.(R)(ARRT), RVT, RDMS, director of information systems for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
Continuing as Board chair is J. Anthony Seibert, Ph.D., CIIP, FSIIM, Professor, Imaging Research Center, University of California Davis Medical Center.
The ABII Board is made up of three appointees from the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), three appointees from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and one public member not employed in the field of imaging informatics.
In addition to the officers noted above, the following members round out the ABII Board:
- Bradley J. Erickson, M.D., Ph.D., FSIIM, CIIP, Associate Professor of Radiology and Informatics, Mayo Clinic, Rochester;
- Richard (Skip) Kennedy, MSC., CIIP, technical director of imaging informatics for Kaiser Permanente Medical Group;
- Edward Susank, B.S., public member; and
- Corey Williams, R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT), CIIP, manager of IT clinical operations and eRadiology Center for Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
The Board sets policy for the Imaging Informatics Professional certification program and oversees the organization's operations.
