ABII to Increase Fees for 2022 Renewals for the First Time Since 2007
Effective with the 2022 Annual Renewal cycle, ABII will implement the following fee changes:
- Increase annual renewal fees by $10 (from $60 to $70), and;
- Change the late fee to a flat $20 (prior late fees were assessed at $10 per month January through March). These fees are applied January through March in the year following renewal.
This will not have an impact on ABII's 2021 Annual Renewal and late fee structure, even if the 2021 Annual Renewal payment is made during the grace period in January through March 2022.
Why the Changes?
Although ABII hasn't increased our annual renewal fees since ABII's founding in 2007, our costs continue to rise. In particular, these increases have affected programming costs used to continue to grow ABII's infrastructure and to provide better service to diplomates. This modest annual renewal increase will help offset some of those increasing costs.
ABII's late fee structure is cumbersome to administer and often confusing to diplomates. Changing to a flat fee should make this process easier.
