ABII Welcomes Tom Kern as New Trustee
The American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) is excited to announce the appointment of Tom Kern, Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP), as a new member of its Board of Trustees.
Tom brings over two decades of hands-on technical expertise and leadership in imaging informatics, currently serving as the Imaging Informatics Team Lead at the American College of Radiology in Reston, VA.
Tom's background includes a B.S. in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Grand Canyon University.
Since earning his CIIP certification in 2007, Tom has been a recognized authority in the field, leveraging his certification to enhance his credibility and expertise throughout his professional career.
A few of Tom's many major accomplishments include managing operations of all imaging applications for several multi-hospital health care systems,
setting up new teleradiology IT infrastructure and workflow at a Level 1 stroke and trauma center, and mentoring junior analysts in all aspects of imaging informatics and enterprise IT.
“I'm thrilled to join the Board of Trustees and contribute to the ongoing advancement of the CIIP certification in healthcare,” Tom shared.

With Tom's strategic and technical insights, ABII looks forward to furthering its mission to promote excellence in imaging informatics.

the professional association for imaging informatic professionals. The final Trustee position is filled by a public member.
